Oatcakes

Ingredients:

1. Oats 200g

2. Butter (room temperature) 25g

3. Salt 1 tsp

4. Soda bicarbonate ¼ tsp

5. Water 100ml

Method:

Preheat the oven at 190C/374F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the oats, salt, and soda bicarbonate in a mixing bowl. Mix everything well with hand. Melt the butter with the water and bring it to a boil. Add the butter-water to the oats. Lightly mix with the help of a spoon.

Knead by hand until the dough forms a smooth ball. Sprinkle little oats on a clean surface and place the dough over it. Lightly press with hand and roll out into a thin sheet. Use round cookie cutter to cut into round shape. (Use size of cutter according to personal choice).

Place the oatcakes on the prepared baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes or until it becomes light brown.

Let it cool on the baking tray. Oatcakes are ready.
